Farewell…

I’ve had a fantastic time working at Xtravirt for almost 3 years, and I’m very grateful to the opportunities and challenges they’ve presented me with but I feel it’s now time for me to move on to pastures new. I’ll be leaving behind an enthusiastic and lively bunch of people as well as a company with great momentum, plans and announcements lined up for the coming year. Don’t forget they’re always on the look out for talented virtualisation people – like you. So keep an eye on them and follow their Twitter feed.

Hello…

Nutanix-logo

I’m excited to tell you that Nutanix is soon to be my new home working as a Senior Systems Engineer getting all techie – it’s quite a shift for me as I’ll now be product focused. I’ve been keeping an eye on my soon to be employer since my first introduction to them back in October 2012 at a Bloggers NDA session in Barcelona (original write-up here) and I’ve seen them grow rapidly drawing in some charismatic and virtualisation community gurus. Now seemed the right time to approach them as I feel their products are maturing and in light of the recent Gartner and Dell announcements I’m even more enthused.

What now?

The observant among you will notice a new page on the menu bar, see it? From there I plan to include Nutanix related resources as I come across them, whether from my own direct experience and exposure or from others in the community people sharing their knowledge. My blog will still remain my own driven by my own thoughts and experiences but as VMware vSphere, Microsoft Hyper-V and KVM are all supported on Nutanix why not include an area for this? And not make it front page news, well for every post at least.

Those of you that know that I tend to find spin-offs in the guise of stickers and URL shorten tools won’t be surprised to learn I have some thoughts about this idea…

More news on this once I’m up and running and feet firmly under the table.
