VMware stock price appears to have settled since the significant drop post the new pricing model for vSphere, creeping up slowly. Good news in my opinion as this says to me the IT industry accepts vSphere comes at a price, a good price for the technology & the potential ROI it offers. But, there’s always a but, the Partners are currently being targeted for revenue in respect to the vSphere Partner Training for VTSP / VSP.
Reviewing the Q10 filed last week the balance sheet clearly identifies that Partners account for the majority of VMware’s
revenue. Am I missing something here? Do I really feel it’s necessary to have an iPod dock / stereo system on offer for free if I achieve ‘X’ amount of sales by the end if June?
